Greggs Community Project UPDATE
NATURE CONSERVATION SESSION ON STREATHAM COMMON
OCTOBER 3, 2016 by DouglasNatureVibezzz. COMMENT HERE
Nature Vibezzz delivered a Nature conservation session on how to prepare for the winter season: ”Planting winter crops and bulbs”.
The session was delivered by Nature Vibezzz, thanks to our founder GREGGS Foundation.
Many participants were from the local community, South London area, specifically Streatham Common.
Parts of the session were delivered between “57 The Lodge” and Streatham Common.
Introduction: the session was very popular; around 30 families attended, they experienced how to prepare soil and ways to plant winter crops.
Many children had the opportunity to learn how to use a variety of tools, improve their fine and gross motor skills, explored maths and literacy. e.g. counting plants, bulbs, writing plants’ names for displaying.
There were planted around 100 winter plants and 150 heads of bulbs: cabbage, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, onion, garlic, King Alfred, Daffodil, etc.
At the end of the session we all had hot drinks and marshmallows.

NATURE VIBEZZZ AND "FATHERS & NATURE" DADS GROUP:
CLEANING STREATHAM COMMON
SEPTEMBER 30, 2016 by DouglasNatureVibezzz. LEAVE A COMMENT
Nature Vibezzz and our new group of fathers of children under 6 years old, called "Fathers & Nature", has worked on an Environmental project; cleaning Streatham Common, or litter picking, in one of the 10 free sessions.
Thank you to our grant founder GREGGS Foundation.
The Litter picking session was an amazing experience for the parents and their children, all from the age of two had the opportunity to walk with a picker in hand around the common collecting things such as plastic bags and beer cans.
The parents were very happy to share with their children how important it is to take care of the environment, and why recycling is very important.
Over all the session was an amazing experience for the new upcoming generation where they are learning how to take care of the environment and our planet.
FIRST GREGGS FREE FAMILY COMMUNITY PROJECT ACTIVITY: TAKING CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT ON STREATHAM COMMON
SEPTEMBER 30, 2016 DouglasNatureVibezzz. LEAVE A COMMENT
On Monday 12th September, Nature Vibezzz delivered their first free Environmental sessions on Streatham Common in Lambeth, as part of our 10 free sessions activities thanks to our founder from GREGGS Foundation.
Our first session was delivered to local families from the community and to the Natural Childhood group.
The main activity of the session was to collect rubbish from Streatham common and around the local estates play ground.
Feedback from participants rated the session very helpful and have said that they have left knowing how to take care of the environment more than they did before.
